I was going to name this post ‘A Day in KL’, like Danny’s famous ‘A Day in Tokyo’ posts, but meh- couldn’t resist coming up with a long, ridiculous, and vaguely relevant title^^;;
Spotted this shop somewhere near Petaling Street- this famous street in Kuala Lumpur that stocks all sorts of counterfeit goods- from bags to DVDs, and catalogs of branded watches. It also has quite a few shops selling dried meat- ‘rou kan‘ in Mandarin- a must-get during Chinese New Year. They’re delicious but pretty oily, so the holy word here is moderation- unless pimples are your best friend. Some pics here at Mun Yee‘s blog.
I wonder what this shop sells, anyway- didn’t feel like going in. To it’s left and right are shops selling textiles and accessories- rather out of place, no? A rather morbid sight up close:3 At least it’s not as bad as one shop providing funeral services in a residential area- caused quite a storm, that one. As for this one… never mind the teeth, what’s that little brown hand doing there?
